A bigger space, built for the same mission
A new resource for women in Durham officially opened its doors this week, offering a service that has been part of the community for years. Dress for Success Triangle hosted a ribbon cutting for its new location in Downtown Durham, marking a major step forward for the organization’s work across the Triangle.
Dress for Success Triangle is known for helping women find clothing for job interviews and existing roles, along with career training and job search support. The new space on William Vickers Avenue gives women room to shop a curated selection of professional clothing at deep discounts, while also offering an area for the community to donate gently used professional attire. There is even a dedicated career center where women can build resumes and access job training.
Leaders with the organization say the services themselves are not new. What has changed is the ability to deliver them more efficiently and reach even more women in a space designed specifically for that purpose. The new location is also more central and convenient to the communities the organization serves.
Anyone interested in shopping at the store, volunteering, or donating professional attire can get involved by visiting the new Downtown Durham boutique. Watch the full CBS 17 story here.
