Volunteers are the heart of Dress for Success Triangle. From coaching women through career pivots to sorting donations and leading webinars, our volunteers make everything we do possible.

Whether you’re brand new, an active volunteer, or looking to bring a group—we have a place for you.

I’m New Here — How Do I Get Started?

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re interested in joining our mission to help women achieve financial independence and career confidence. Here’s how to start:

Once we receive your form, we’ll send you a short orientation video and next steps based on your interests.

You’ll be added to our volunteer communications list and be matched with opportunities that fit your schedule, skills, and location.

Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a variety of in-person and virtual roles that fit different skill sets, availability, and comfort levels.

Career & Image Coaches

Career Coaches: Help clients build resumes, write cover letters, and prep for interviews.


Image Coaches:
Support clients in choosing attire that fits their goals and boosts confidence.


Schedule:
Weekdays & some Saturdays. Advanced computer skills required for Career Coaches.

Mock Interview Liaison

Facilitate Zoom-based mock interview events with corporate partners and clients.

Tech comfort required; training provided.

Wednesday Webinar Leader

Introduce speakers, moderate chat, and close sessions during our weekly virtual workshops.


Time:
Wednesdays at noon, as your schedule allows.

Google Career Certificate Mentor

Encourage women enrolled in Google’s Career Certificate program.

3–4 hours/month commitment.

Mobile Boutique Team

Coaches: Style clients at community events, register participants, and introduce our services.

Prep Volunteers: Sort and stage clothing for upcoming Mobile Boutique events.

Location: Across the Triangle and Eastern NC. Events typically last 2–4 hours.

Boutique Sale Support

Help with fundraising sales by providing customer service and merchandising support.

Great opportunity to meet other volunteers and staff. No training required.

Minimum age: 18 (or 13 with parent/guardian).

Donation Center Specialist

Help sort, tag, and organize clothing donations at our Raleigh or Durham locations.

Lead Volunteers: Help train and oversee other volunteers during shifts.

Outreach Events Representative

Represent Dress for Success at fairs, festivals, and info sessions.

Flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends.

Online Community Manager

Engage with clients on our private online platform by posting content and offering encouragement.

3 hours/month, all virtual.

Group Volunteering

Give Back

Looking for a way to give back with your coworkers, club, faith group, or friends?

Group volunteering is a great way to build camaraderie while making a difference.


Opportunities may include:

  • Preparing clothing donations
  • Supporting Mobile Boutique or sale events
  • Office and event prep
