Dress for Success Triangle is dedicated to empowering unemployed and underemployed women in vulnerable communities to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Part of a global network of affiliates was founded in 2008 by former Dell executive Pat Nathan, the local organization has empowered over 24,500 women during their career transitions.
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Marketing Director to lead our marketing, communication, and public relations efforts. This role is key in expanding our impact, engaging diverse communities, and elevating our mission and brand across the Triangle.

Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Triangle NC (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Marketing & Planning
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to promote Dress for Success Triangle’s programs, services, and events.
Identify and target key audiences to increase brand awareness, donor engagement, and volunteer involvement.
Work closely with the Development team to craft marketing campaigns that support fundraising goals.
Analyze market trends, audience data, and metrics to adjust strategies and maximize engagement.
2. Brand Management & Storytelling
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms, reinforcing our mission and values.
Create and share compelling stories about the women we serve, community partners, volunteers, and donors.
Oversee the creation of digital, print, and multimedia content that reflects the spirit of Dress for Success Triangle.
Manage relationships with media outlets, securing press coverage and generating positive public relations.
3. Digital Marketing & Social Media
Lead the organization’s social media strategy across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring regular and engaging content.
Manage and optimize the organization’s website, ensuring it remains current, user-friendly, and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
Leverage email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) to keep our community informed and engaged.
4. Event Promotion
Collaborate with internal teams to promote special events such as fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and client-facing programs.
Develop promotional materials and campaigns for both in-person and virtual events.
Coordinate media outreach and sponsorship marketing for events.
5. Community Engagement & Partnerships
Build and nurture relationships with key community stakeholders, including businesses, local influencers, and partner organizations.
Represent Dress for Success Triangle at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach activities.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to develop corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
6. Management & Leadership
Supervise and mentor marketing interns, volunteers, and staff as needed.
Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective campaigns and activities.
Report on marketing performance and KPIs to the Executive Director, Marketing Committee and Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
Proven success in digital marketing, including social media management and email marketing.
Strong storytelling and content creation skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey a compelling message.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for Dress for Success Triangle’s mission and dedication to empowering women.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field;
Experience working with community organizations or vulnerable populations.
Graphic design and video editing skills.
Familiarity with technology platforms including Monday.com, Salesforce, and Canva.
