Part of a global network of affiliates was founded in 2008 by former Dell executive Pat Nathan, the local organization has empowered over 24,500 women during their career transitions.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to support our fundraising efforts and contribute to our mission.
Position Overview: The Development Associate will assist the Development Director in executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy. This role involves donor stewardship, event coordination, database management, and online auction support, playing a crucial part in enhancing our fundraising initiatives. The position is also responsible for administrative duties for the affiliate offices. This is a part-time hybrid position working in our Raleigh and Durham offices and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Donor Management:
Assist in managing the donor database, ensuring accurate records and timely acknowledgment of gifts.
Support the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Event Support:
Help coordinate fundraising events and online auctions including logistics, communications, and the online event platform.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful execution of annual fundraising events.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the Development Director and Development Team as needed.
Collaborate with leadership on special projects and assist with fundraising and development activities.
Affiliate Office Support:
Maintain daily office operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment.
Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships to support operational needs.
Process incoming/outgoing mail, donations, and manage donor acknowledgment letters.
Maintain accurate records, including financial, donor, and staff data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
When needed, serve as back up for Client Service Coordinator, serving as first point of contact for clients, volunteers and other visitors.

Excellent PC skills (including Microsoft Office suite) and exposure to cloud-based CRM (Salesforce preferred) platforms

Must Haves
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
2-5 years of experience using the required skills
