Our Professional Women's Groups (PWG) provide support to women who are working through networking and career-building. For women new to their jobs, Working Women: Tools for Success is offered, and women looking for ongoing networking and support in their careers may attend a Networking for Success meeting.

Women working: Tools for Success

Finish a Wake or Durham Tech class in just one month! Classes meet at our two locations on the third Saturday from 9 am - 3 pm, and include a free, healthy breakfast. Each session concludes with group mentoring sessions. Modules 1 and 2 are presented together and 3 and 4 are presented together. Topics include:

  • Mod 1: New Job Jitters- Calm your jitters and successfully transition into your new job

  • Mod 2: Employer Expectations and Career Goals- Exceed your employer's expectations and set SMART goals

  • Mod 3: Build Financial Savings and Set Goals- Save for future needs and set goals

  • Mod 4: Creating Work/Life Balance- Manage stress and achieve balance

You don't have to wait for a new session to begin taking advantage of all that PWG has to offer to your career goals.

Peer Networking and Career Mentoring

In addition to our Working Women sessions, our Professional Women's Group meets on a regular basis for peer networking and continued career skills development. Learn about:

Networking for Success meets at Dress for Success headquarters in Raleigh from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and in Durham from 6 - 8 p.m.
